Ghost of Tsushima - VP Vibrancy

Ghost of Tsushima was released on Friday and what a game it is. Not being able to afford games on release at the moment, I was lucky enough to have Enthusiast Gamer let me share play his for an hour on the games release. I watched him immerse for a while before having a turn myself and then I watched him conquer some Mongol outposts and progress in the story.

The game achieves all it sets out to do. Visually stunning it through me straight into the world of a Kurosawa movie, stoic, violent and beautiful. It took my breath away.

While the photo mode is astounding and very well developed and the games visuals are pretty much perfect, what sold me even more was the combat. Fluid, cinematic and rewarding you have to play it to really get a feel for it. Just in a mere three hours experience, I could not recommend the game highly enough.

Stay at Home: PSN Free Games

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune shot by Me

Just a short post to say that all PSN users can pick up the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for Free as well as Journey (between Wednesday, April 15 - Tuesday, May 5). This is in addition to the usual PS Plus free games and a little extra for anyone with a PS4. This is part of the corona virus support initiative designed to keep people indoors and indie studios in business.

"During these days of physical distancing, fans have turned to gaming for moments of respite and enjoyment. At Sony Interactive Entertainment, we are privileged to bring this much-needed entertainment. We know this is just one small step and we are thankful to be able to offer this support to our players, our communities, and our partners." Jim Ryan the President of Playstation stated.

All three Uncharted games in the collection have a photo mode and even with the eldest in the series you can get some wonderful scenic shots. Although for users in China and Germany, Sony is offering Knack 2.

Claim them for free at the store here.

Stay Home: Epic Gives Away 3 Free PC Games

Epic Games give away at least one game a week for PC users, this week there are three games to be downloaded. While not what most would deem VP worthy perhaps it will give you something else to do during lock down?

Gone Home is a first-person exploration video game developed and published by The Fullbright Company. It is a short but interesting romp set in 1995 where the player is in the role of a young woman trying to piece together where her family have gone and what has happened to them.

Hob is a curious small adventure game that tells a wordless story that you have to piece together yourself. While it is not hard to understand or follow the narrative it does require some work to piece together. Well worth a look its a great way to pass a few hours during lockdown.

Drawful 2 is one of many Jackbox games. It does what it says on the tin and supplies much hilarity in a simple fashion. Like Pictionary but with no undo function, it will have you drawing your prompts within 60 seconds for your party to guess what your creation is. Drawful 2 also introduces the ability to create your own game prompts, which with the right group of friends makes the game even better.

All three of these are worth a shot, especially as they are free. If you have a access to a PC these are all very low spec games and should run on most systems.
