Huge Impending Warframe Update

With the new Heart of Demios update Warframe players will see possibly the largest amount of changes that have happened at one time in a while.

I have played the game on Xbox, PC and now the Playstation 4, I have never "finished" the game. Really, unless you make the game your life you are unlikely to complete everything. It is a game that really is what the player makes it.

On the Xbox me and my good friend wandered around blind and had a lot of fun. We didn't even get as far as The Second Dream quest, which kind of flips the game on its head and the real game begins.

My PC experience was very different, I was guided and educated by more veteran players. I focused on maxing out and formaing two weapons and two frames, essentially making them fairly unbeatable. Nothing was an obstacle between my two choices.

Now on the PS4 I have taken to exploring as much as possible. I recently hit over twenty warframes and have started preparing some more end game frames for the harder content. Now it is about embracing the beauty of the game, the friends I play it with and just having a good time.

The wonderful thing about the game is that it is free and you can do all of it for free. Unlock every warframe, weapon and access every mission. There is a grind to get end game abilities and gear but you can do the entire story and enjoy the game without ever attaining it.

The good news is that with the Heart of Demios release we will see a new opening for new players, hopefully a more player friendly and exciting start to match the later quest arcs. The twists and turns the story takes along the way are suprising and baffling. The Second Dream and the Chains of Harrow really pulled me in like no other free to play game ever has.

For old and new alike the Heart of Demios will be worth downloading or re-logging into the game. Give it a spin and I promise you you will not be disappointed.

Feed Your Warframes to Your Ship!

One of my favourite reveals of Tennocon was the Helminth Chrysalis System. This allows you to tweak the abilities of your warframe's, for even greater customisation. Each Warframe can be fed to the system to donate a permanent ability. This ability can then be given to any of your other warframes at the cost of resources.

It is a wonderfully morbid idea that I cannot wait to try out.

Warframe: Heart of Deimos

As you know by now Warframe for me is by far the best free to play game that ever existed. hundreds of hours of content, so much so that the majority of casual players will never see all there is to offer. At Tennocon there was a huge host of new content revealed. Today I shall leave the game play reveal of the new open world: Heart of Deimos

The graphics and infested environment are astounding. I cannot wait to see what the next gen consoles bring to it.  Until then we have this free expansion hitting Warframe on all platforms on the 25th of August!

The New Open World: Heart of Deimos

"There is a sinister mystery lying underneath Deimos, hiding from even the Entrati and the Infestation that has overtaken the entire moon. We can’t wait for you to experience everything Heart of Deimos has to offer:

- Explore a new open world; a hauntingly-beautiful landscape festering with Infested enemies, the dark Entrati and sights unseen in ever-changing underground cave networks.
- Harness the power of the Void with the Community-designed Xaku, the second-ever Warframe to be designed by the Tenno!
- Customize your Warframe like never before with the Helminth Chrysalis system. Give the Helminth a Warframe to absorb a signature Ability and transfer it to another Warframe."

July's PS Plus Games Announced

July not only brings the 10th anniversary of PS Plus for Sony but also with it three titles for the month. These are as follows:

NBA2K20

With the release of NBA2k21 potentially on the horizon, for those excited at getting in on the latest release of the franchise they will be happy to know that it is free this July. The replay mode also allows you to take some brilliant photographs. Perhaps something a little different from your usual virtual photography habits.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider comes to us for free also this July. The second in the series of the Tomb Raider reboots. Getting high critical acclaim of 90% or over from a huge host of respectable reviewers, it is certainly worth a play from anyone who hasn't taken the time to already.

Erica

The least known out of the three giveaway games, Erica takes place following the deaths of both her parents, she finds herself floating through life alone in an apartment as the world passes her by. Her repressed memories come in the form of nightmares that eventually lead to the reopening of the murder case.

The game is only two hours long and is entirely FMV. Players interact with the story through button prompts on screen. It received mostly very favourable reviews and is certainly going to be a different experience from what gamers are used to.

Stay at Home: PSN Free Games

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune shot by Me

Just a short post to say that all PSN users can pick up the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for Free as well as Journey (between Wednesday, April 15 - Tuesday, May 5). This is in addition to the usual PS Plus free games and a little extra for anyone with a PS4. This is part of the corona virus support initiative designed to keep people indoors and indie studios in business.

"During these days of physical distancing, fans have turned to gaming for moments of respite and enjoyment. At Sony Interactive Entertainment, we are privileged to bring this much-needed entertainment. We know this is just one small step and we are thankful to be able to offer this support to our players, our communities, and our partners." Jim Ryan the President of Playstation stated.

All three Uncharted games in the collection have a photo mode and even with the eldest in the series you can get some wonderful scenic shots. Although for users in China and Germany, Sony is offering Knack 2.

Claim them for free at the store here.
