Monster Hunter World's Final Update

Fatalis brings into the foreground the main antagonist of Monster Hunter that came out in 2004. Not only is he a huge dragon but is always lurking around in the monster hunter games. Often a secret boss that has to be found instead of stumbled upon Fatalis hates humans with a passion.

The update is set to launch on the 1st of October. Good luck Hunters!

Silent Hill Comes to Dead by Daylight

Silent Hill for now is pretty much a dead franchise. The last instalments were lacklustre and after the P.T. debacle we are unlikely to see anything soon.

Fans of Dead by Daylight and the series will be pleased to see Pyramid Head aka "The Executioner" along with Silent Hill 3's protagonist Cheryl Mason. Midwich Elementary School from Silent Hill is also a new featured map. It scared the hell out of me back when I first played it, so let us hope the halls are still haunted with those creepy collapsing child shadows. Players can already see it in the public test build but the official launch is next month.

Boarderlands 3: Bounty of Blood

Boarderlands 3 jumps into the Wild West with its next DLC Bounty of Blood. Vault Hunters will be tasked with defending Vestige, a frontier town, on a new planet. The new world comes with a planet exclusive ride that is part raptor, part motorbike. As the story-driven DLC progresses, you will be able to rebuild vestige and make it rise from its battered roots.

Mortal Combat: Aftermath

Mortal Kombat 11 features a huge host of characters. For whatever reason Mileena has been held back despite her fame. In the new Aftermath expansion DLC she is said to make a return. Along with Kitnana playing patty cake with her sister we also see balloons and hugs instead of the brutal violence that the series is famous for.
More exciting than this however is the addition of three characters and an extention to the story mode.

Will fans see her return anytime soon? Will they be outraged once again by this dangling carrot? Only time will tell.

DOOM Eternal DLC

DOOM Eternal has been held by many as a must play experience. Those fans and many more of you will be pleased to see that it is only going to get better with two incoming DLCs planned for the near future. Developer id Software has released two new screenshots which provides the atmospheric settings of whats in store for the Slayer.

Along with these locations we can expect to see new enemies, boss fights, and suit upgrades. I'm hyped for it and I hope you are too.

Darkest Dungeon Gets Multiplayer

Back when I first got my PC and started my virtual photography journey one game that I got hooked on for a while was Darkest Dungeon. While not for everyone and void of anything photo modey, it is a grimly beautiful game. Stylised and harsh it lives up to its name.

A boss fight!

Four years after its release it is finally getting a multiplayer mode, which pits players against the demented dungeon denizens together. Red Hook announced this news on the 1st of April, but myself like many mistook it for an April Fools shenanigan. Since it has been confirmed that it will  be in the form of a paid DLC called The Butcher's Curse, which will be with us next month.

Within the update we will see a new hamlet called the Butchers Circus where players can test their combined might or go head to head in a PvP arena. The PvP mode will focus on heroes that are not your standard teams, meaning that you shall not lose your hard levelled characters to some PvP champion.

Tifa from Final Fantasy VII and two other mod classes behind.

The game also has a great modding community on the PC, with numerous custom skins and classes. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of rogue-like dungeon delving or classic turn-based RPG combat.

Red Hook also announced last year that a sequel is in the works. Fans can rejoice!

Control DLC + Alan Wake Easter Eggs

Love it or hate it Control has been a huge success since its release in August 2019. The game was recently added to PS Now, Sony's streaming service and is even possibly getting a film adaptation.

This week it was announced that the game is also getting its second batch of DLC some point in March, this will be part of the Season Pass but presumably you will also be able to purchase it separately. Along with this first DLC entitled Foundation, there will be some map adjustments and some other fan-requested changes, which Remedy are apparently going to unveil "soon".

Foundation will follow on from Expeditions DLC, which was released in December 2019. We will see our protagonist Jesse descend into the depths beneath the Bureau to restore the Oldest House. This will then be followed by AWE at some point in mid-2020.

Fans of Remedy's popular Alan Wake series are getting excited as the third DLC expansion allegedly links to the series.  If you are sceptical there are already a host of references connecting the two games together.  The first is an in-game document in the Federal Bureau of Control that states that they went to Bright Falls two days after the events of Alan Wake. You can also find his themos collectable that is being studied by the Bureau. If that isn't enough, Alan Wake himself can even be found within the game. Travel to the fifth floor of the Panopticon in the Containment Sector. If you use the levitate ability you will be able to find both Alan and his thermos!

Throughout this article I have used photographs shot by the charming and talented Quiet_wolf84 throughout his Control journey. Check out the link for more of his work.
